Starts with some roasted malt and hops. Pours cloudy black with mocah head and some lacing. Pretty good stout but I enjoy their Eephus a little more. Some oats in flavour. Soft carbonation, finishes soft sour and soft bitter. Nice. Tap at Session.

A clear brown ale with a thick frothy mocha head. In aroma, a nutty grassy malt with roasted notes, coffee, not bad. In mouth, a nice roasted malt with grassy notes, coffee grinds, good brown ale.

(Draught sample at Bryden’s, Toronto ON, June 16th 2013) Poured a very deep brown with mahogany hints when held up to the light and a frothy tan head. Aroma of toast and nuts dominated, very roasty, with a bit of dark fruit sweetness and coffee. Flavour initially roasted malts, nuts, toast, toffee, light coffee and oats, just a little sweet. By mid-palate, dries out completely with a real oat character to the flavor (almost like oatmeal cereal) and just a bit of hops, finishes dry and slightly mineral without a ton of aftertaste. Mouthfeel is pretty oily and creamy, carbonation soft. Quite a stout-like brown ale.

Pours cloudy golden with good head and lacing. Has an initial smell of tangerine and grapefruit. Nice astringency from grapefruit. Pretty well-balanced. Soft carbonation, medium body. It’s well-balanced, just a little light to be a great IIPA. Tap at Bar Hop.

Pretty unremarkable. Hops profile very low, but the malt is nice. Pours clear golden with some lacing. Finishes crisply. On tap at The Only Cafe.

Nice surprise. Great lacing and pretty black pour for brown. Certainly close to a stout in feel. Nice hops, slightly creamy texture. Bitter finish. Good palate. Tap at volos.
