750ml @ Ryan's shared with Phill.
Aroma: weird mix of fermented in barrel apples and solvent.
Taste: along the same lines, very carbonated, bone dry. Finishes with some fermented vegetables.
Overall: not my thing.

Poured from 750mL bottle (2012 vintage). Clear blonde gold with dissipating white head. Fairly dry apple, touch of the bourbon barrels, effervescence, some wet paint on the nose. The barrel character gives some vanilla notes with feint paint, but the sweetness doesn't necessarily lend itself to the dryness of the apples and the wet paint throws things off a bit. Fairly carbonated in the mouth. Average or above average. A bit odd.

Looks like cider. The aroma is somewhat vinous and appley. On the palate, it's the same, but brings a lot of dryness, plenty of tannins. Somewhat low carbonation. Good stuff.

750mL bottle, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma has a lot of farmhouse funk, crisp apple skins, some apple core, and toffee. Flavour is quite funky, with lots of barnyard funk, apple core, a touch of toffee, and some tart apple skins. Funky, fairly dry, and bright. This is great.

Poured from 750mL bottle. Clear yellow gold with no head. Semi-dry apple skins, very feint hint of funk note, okay.

355mL can, pours a lightly hazed blonde with small, quickly-vanishing white head. Nose has lots of musty pear and apple skins, a touch of hay, and almost a touch of sulphur. Flavour is clean, dry and crisp, with lots of the dry pear skins, less so apple, with some hay, and a crisp, mildly tart finish. Not particularly complex, but it’s dry, clean and well-formulated. Solid enough.

355mL can, pours a clear dull golden with a tiny white head. Nose is bone dry, with champagne-like effervescence, bone dry apple skins, and a touch of bugs. Flavour is bone dry and quite tart, with a nice light funk, bone dry apple skins, a bit of apple core, and some champagne-like effervescence. Quite authentic and impressively constructed. Excellent.
