on tap at the source. Standard session ipa, big citrus notes, but a light dry finish. But that is where this differs, the finish isn’t so dry, and it actually has some bitterness. Some soft pine resins and lemon notes come through throughout the experience. A nice session ipa with a back bone. well done.

On tap at the brewery. Jet black, medium brown head. Strong ,dark,,burnt coffee aroma, with a huge malt bill, that is leaning towards the sweet side, no hops are detected in the nose. The body is very full the mouth feel is a touch oily, and the carb is perfect. The finish is very bitter with an intense cold coffee, burnt espresso finish, with a high bitterness. This is a no joke coffee impy. Great stuff.

Bottle from the brewery. Clear orange pour, with a big white head. Very hoppy aroma, chock full of citrus zest, and citrus peel. Soft carb, and a light apa mouth feel. Low bitterness, lots of citrus flavours with a subtle quenching sweeetness. A wonderful patio quaff, and a good example of a well made apa.

A very light, and clean pale ale. The citra adds a very nice grapefruit aroma, and subtle grapefruit flavour, but the body is a tad thin, and the bitterness is quite low. I see what they were going for, and it accomplishes it well i think. A full flavoured pale ale, but the body is quite light. But the alcohol isnt low enough to fall into the session category, but i assume its the market they are aiming for.

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a dark brown foamy head with some retention and some lacing notes. Aroma of chocolate notes with some coffee and vanilla notes with nice bourbon notes. Taste is also a mix of chocolate notes with some nice floral coffee notes with some vanilla notes with some woody bourbon notes and a semi-sweet finale. Body is pretty full with an oily texture and good carbonation with light discernible alcohol notes. Nice pastry stout with good balance overall enhanced by the bourbon notes.

Hazy but dull. Nice stone fruit and mandarin hop. Low bitterness. Malts just sort of there, certainly not adding anything. So good hop aromatics but lacking in other domains.
