Pours amber/ruby with a creamy small head.Nose isn’t great. Shows some caramel and nutty notes, but quite dirty.Flavours are very malty, loads of caramel and bready hints. Finishes with a mild bitterness.Nice moderate carbonation, works surprisingly well with the richer flavours.Apart from the aroma, pretty good!

Half pint served chilled from tap at the Southerner, Temple. Crystal clear, golden body with a short lived, white head. Grass-malty aroma. Malty sweetness in flavour and little else. Rather dry in the mouth. Some refreshments (London, 01.08.2009).

Bottle. A clear, golden beer with a minimal, off-white head. The aroma has fruityness and caramel, and it’s quite weak, but most of all it’s grainy. The flavor is more on the fruity side, with some sweetness and a hint of caramel. Medium body and a nice carbonation. There’s some sweetness in the finish, but it’s lacking on bitterness. Overall, it actually lacks on most things, especially bitterness, so it’s a rather boring beer. Quite quenching though. (090412)

330ml bottle from Plonkers, Derby. Gold with a dense white head; simple malt aroma; malty and caramel flavour, rather thin, with some bitterness and cardboard to finish. Not too bad.
