Brasserie Moulins d'Ascq
Microbrewery in Villeneuve-d'Ascq, Hauts-de-France, France 🇫🇷
Established in 1999
It takes an average of five weeks to make our beers. They are neither pasteurized nor filtered in order to best preserve their aromas. Their fine bubbles are natural thanks to a refermentation in the bottle. These are beers brewed with respect for tradition, high fermentation and Belgian inspiration.

33cl bottle (5,5%) from Naturalia bio shop, Rue Blacas in Nice, France. Huge, white head, good retention. Blonde, hazy colour. Nose is malty, floral, spicy, citrus, yeasty. Medium malty base, citrus, floral, spicy, decent bitterness, more hopped blonde than IPA but bio and no big flaw here so ok, enjoyed. --- Beer aliased from original tick of BiCLOU IPA on 27 Jul 2022 at 19:30 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 6 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 6. Bottle 33 cl. Pours golden with a slight haze and a tiny, white head. Vague phenols and quite some coriander in the nose. Medium body, a sweet fruitiness, discreet yeast and a pleasant coriander touch. Vague bitterness. Actually a fine Wit. 110619

Bottle 33 cl. Pours an almost clear with a dense, white head with god retention. Nose is yeasty, slightly phenollic. Medium body, fruity and again yeasty, phenols becoming unpleasantly prominent before a rough hop bitterness. Certainly no Bière de Garde, this is a rather crude Belgian Blonde. 090619

29th Jan 2025: Pours a hazed chestnut amber, large off-white bubblebath foam atop. Quite a high carb, not as much caramel this time around, still quite the spicy fellow, overly carbed, tastes a little old.
18th June 2018: 330ml bottle after watching England beat Tunisia World Cup '18. Pours hazed golden amber, foamy off-white crown. Aroma is sweet, sugar-coated, caramel. Taste is smooth, sweet, enticing, caramel malts, some herbal moments. Generally quite tasty.

Bottle. Nose has a faint hint of sour, Belgian yeast, banana, floral, grass. Taste is belgian yeast, fruit, whea, banana, almond, vanilla. There is a lemon and lime hop note which is almost 7up like. Thick mouthfeel. I really enjoyed it.

75cl bottle to myself, from Auchan. Pours a lightly misty gold, large white head. Aroma is sweet Belgian blonde yeast. Taste is straight-up sweetish Belgian blonde, pillowy smooth and very easy-drinking. Nicely balanced, with soft vanilla / banana notes. Nice.
