From a wine shop in Cabourg, Normandy. Pours a slightly hazy light yellow color, topped with a solid, rocky white head and fine retention. Wheaty aroma with some banana notes. Taste starts sweet and a bit wheaty. Quite spicy with a bit peppery finish. Mild bitterness. Nothing special.

Cloudy yellow golden colour, large frothy white head, diminishes slowly, thin layer remains, good lacing. Fruity and yeasty nose, peach, apricot, perfume, floral, bit sourish. Taste medium sweet, light bitter, fruity, yeast. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation, aftertaste begins sweetbitter, towards the finish somewhat astringent, bit citrusy, spicy notes. More complex than expected, nice Blonde.

Spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of apricot, pear, apple, white grape, pepper, clove, honey, candi sugar, bread, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Nice aromas with good complexity and solid balance of fruity/spicy yeast and pale malt sweetness; with good strength. Very sweet smelling nose. Taste of apricot, pear, apple, white grape, pepper, clove, honey, candi sugar, bread, herbal, grass, and yeast earthiness. Minimal bitterness and yeast spice on the finish; with lingering notes of apricot, pear, apple, white grape, honey, candi sugar, bread, and herbal/yeast earthiness on the finish for a while. Good complexity and robustness of fruity/spicy yeast and pale malt sweetness; with a solid malt/yeast balance and minimal cloying sweetness after the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a fairly slick/syrupy mouthfeel that is okay. The level of sweetness limits the drinkability. Alcohol is well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a solid tripel style. All around good complexity and solid balance of fruity/spicy yeast and pale malt sweetness; and fairly smooth to drink. The high amount of sweetness does almost get cloying, but this was still fairly enjoyable.

750ml bottle pours a gold with some creamy white head. Nose has a lot of yeast, gristy too, candlewax, pineapple. Flavor is sweet, candy, pineapple, gum, mild grass, some of those tropical fruit Tums. Dry finish. Interesting.
