Sights & Swills Summer Holiday Beer#94. ST MALO. From summer 2025, and at less than £3 a bottle after conversion, so very hard to resist this despite the strength. d'Emeraude seem to have a monopoly on local supermarkets in the region so choice is directed to them anyway! Cloudy dirty brown toilet bowl appearance, but fine to drink! It's also not quite as boozy as expected, but it certainly is as sweet as expected. A pretty good job done here for the style.

Sights & Swills Summer Holiday Beer#86. PONTORSON. From summer 2025, it's soft and easy textured, slipping down the palate with ease. Has mild citrus notes.

Sights & Swills Summer Holiday Beer#77. PONTORSON. Bought this off-shelf at a mini-market without really looking, opened it a short while later, took a swig and only when it was going down the palate did I realise its strength! Deeper golden, it does just about manager a sugary bubblegum style aroma and taste, and is by no means a boozy beer.

Sights & Swills Summer Holiday Beer#57. ST MALO. Golden-blonde, and classed as an IPL, although with all the lemon citrus in here it comes across like a radler, but with a lot more strength to it. Lemon is in aroma and its carbonation is quite prominent too.

Sights & Swills Summer Holiday Beer#60. ST MALO. After sights beer. Hazy deeper blonde with a carbonation making it a little gassy. Full-bodied but feeling less than its strength in taste. Hoppy with mild tropical fruits, which are on the sweet-side, especially notable in its aftertaste.

Sights & Swills Summer Holiday Beer#47. ST MALO. First beer after arriving in France. Red-berry colour, both sweet and sour in taste, with the collection of fruits coming across on the sweeter side initially. Has a fair sourness to follow.

Old rating - One of 3 330ml bottles found in a St Malo supermarket. This one is a lovely amber ale with a 6.0 ABV. Different bottle of beer in my home No. 1976

330ml bottle from Super U, St Malo. Pours golden orange, perhaps a fine mist, medium white head. Very sweet, sugary orangey Tripel, low carbonation.. bit too sweet at times. Lacks finesse.

Cloudy, Amber color and a nice off-white head. Interesting nose, malty, fruity Esthers, reminds me on high Esther Rum.
