Can. Dark brown pour, with a large off white head. Aroma is nutty, with some soft tartness, and and weird vegetal notes. Mouth feel is very thin, carb is over the top. Finish is sour, wet paper, spolied nuts. This is infected.

Lightly hazed golden colour with a fizzy golden-yellow foamy head disappearing quickly, leaving nothing except lively carbonation. Same medical aromas as the previous beer I had from them. Sweet malt background with some orange notes. The taste is very sour, so not sure this should be for a lager. Not your typical infection, but not sure what is going on here. Raisins hints linger. Medical-plastic notes again in the flavours. Saffron is so expensive, how can this be used like this?? Again, not sure what is going on here.

Found this can at The Beer Store, pouring a slight hazed amber colour with a fizzy light-beige head, leaving a little coat on the brew. The aromas is quite weird, different for an IPA. Wet socks with cinnamon to make it feel better. Then, I feel a form of infection and the taste confirms this. Bad, sour, fuck this ! Nothing close to an IPA, and now worried to try their porter. What you could do with this is a salad dressing where you need apple cider vinegar. Downpour.

After having a first one from this brewery (IPA) and was not impressed, hope this one will be better. Dark brown colour with ruby highlights. The head is big, frothy, light mocha-coloured, decent lasting with a little lace. Dark fruits in the nose with some banana notes (wheat?). Not sure if I am getting some infection again, but hidden more in this one with the darker fruits. Lots of molasses with some light hops in the finish. Not syrupy because of this, so a little better for sure. There might be hope.

Slightly hazed golden bright colour with a fizzy head that disappears quickly. Overcarbonated when can is opened, big pop and lots of fumes flowing away. Aromas of spiciness, medical notes with a touch of infection - so, not a lager nose. Hints of apples do come out to balance things a bit. I really do not dislike what I smell, just odd for the style. The flavours show a bit of the same. Mildly dry, and does go down decently. Again, another weird beer from this brewery, but this one is less offensive.

Can. Medium brown. Not much head. The aroma is a bit raisiny, like a kvass or one of the macrobrewed porters they had in Quebec until the 90s. On the palate, it's thin and light. There's a smokey raisin note that I like - and fits with the style quite well - but I don't like how thin it is. The malt character is empty. The bitterness is quite low, lower than it should be for balance. I find the concept of the brewery interesting. I'm all for giving Persia its due - the Cyrus the Great seal is a nice touch - but the beer seems to cut corners. The smokey raisin thing is interesting, reminds a bit of having pasita in Puebla, but the thin cardboardy notes aren't doing it any favours.
