Poured from a 16 oz can. Aroma is very malt forward with lots of toasted bread, caramel and toffee. Some light notes of burnt sugar, raisin, fug and prune. Hints of alcohol spice. Light pine resin and grapefruit notes. Pours a burnt amber color with red and brown hues and a small, thin tan head that recedes quickly and a small amount lingers on the edges. Faint lacing and moderate legs. Flavor is somewhat sweet and fairly malt forward. Lots of caramel, toffee, treacle and burnt sugar with lighter toasted bread notes. Medium bitterness. Some light resin and grapefruit notes with a touch of a woody character. Light alcohol spice. Hints of nuts with some light raisin, plum and prune. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, lots of malt with a touch of hops. This is a very sessionable, but slightly boring barleywine. Nice malt complexity, but a rather simplistic hop profile.

Poured from a 16 oz can. Aroma is nice as the citrus accentuates the dry hop character. Nice citrus notes with some lighter tropical fruit. Some light grassy ,herbal hop notes. Light grain notes. Pours a fairly clear, dull yellow gold with a medium sized, moderately thick, white head that recedes quickly to the edges where small amounts linger. No lacing or legs. Flavor has a medium light sweetness with moderate tangerine notes and light acidity. Some light herbal, floral hop notes. Light grain character. Mouthfeel is light bodied with medium high carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, I like this one as well. I think the tangerine does a great job of highlighting the hop notes. Flavor is a bit too sweet and acidity is a touch light. My second favorite of the bunch.

Poured from a 16 oz can. Aroma has a fairly strong tart cherry note with some lighter hop character. Some light tropical fruit and citrus notes with a bit of an herbal, grassy note. Hints of grain. Pours a somewhat clear, red color with a purplish hue and medium large, thick, slightly pink head that recedes to a thin film that lingers thicker on the edges. No lacing or legs. Flavor is slightly sweet with a moderately tart cherry note. Some light funk with a touch of herbal notes and grass. Light tropical fruit and citrus notes. Mouthfeel is light bodied with medium high carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, my favorite of this series so far. The cherry is strong, letting the hops be a background character. Light funkiness and great fruit. Acidity isn’t too sharp.

7.6/10 β€” Appearance 8 Aroma 7 Flavor 8 Texture 8 Overall 7.5
Poured from a 16 oz can. Aroma has a moderate dry hop character with some herbal notes as well as some tropical fruit and citrus. Some light plum notes and hints of grain. Pours a fairly clear, rose color with some gold a nd red hues and a medium sized, moderately thick, slightly pinkish head that recedes immediately to the edges where it lingers for a bit. Flavor is slightly sweet with a medium light acidity. Medium plum notes with some light grain character. Light hop notes with a bit of grasy, herbal notes. Mouthfeel has a light body with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, I like this one more than the apricot one. The aroma is better and the plums don’t clash with the dry hopping. I still want to try the base beer though to see if it’s better than the fruited versions.

7.2/10 β€” Appearance 8 Aroma 6 Flavor 8 Texture 8 Overall 7
Poured from a 16 oz can. Aroma is interesting with a moderate dry hop note with some citrus and stone fruit. A light, herbal grassy note. I’m not sure the hop character works great with the apricot though. Light acidity and citrus notes. Pours a slightly hazy, slightly dull golden orange with a medium sized, moderately thick, white head that recedes fairly quickly to the edges where it lingers for a bit. No lacing or legs. Flavor has a moderate acidity, but not too sharp with some light citrus notes. Light apricot character with some light hop notes. Hints of an herbal, grassy note with some tropical fruit. Mouthfeel is light bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a few decent sour but I’m not sure I love the aroma and the way the fruit interacts with the dry hopping. Flavor is better though.
