From bottle outside De Bierkoning, Amsterdam, during Carnivale Brettanomyces 2017. Grassy hoppy aroma with pale malt, light grain, mildly floral, hay, soft yeast with light funk. Flavour is mildly bitter, body is light. Lacks complexity and depth, but it sure is nicely dry-hopped. Crisp, refreshing.

Gorgeous dark amber, with plenty of soda carbonation. Smells sweet orange, funkyness, acidity, bourbon. High carbonation, body underneath seems to be quite dense, bit clinging, drying. Taste is odd; herbal, fairly bitter, lots of citrus peel, real funky.

Sour and funky, some stone fruit, dusty basement, wet underpants and caramel. Quite a ride. #WomensDay #thehuntforwheelofstyles

750ml bottle. Minimally milky, yellow-ish, pale golden colour with average to huge, fluffy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, snow-white head. Mildly bretty, funky, yeasty and grassy, hoppy aroma, notes of brine, fresh hay, some dill, a touch of mustard seed, grape sugar, some oak, wheaty malty basis with a touch of banana, whiffs of mandarine, mandarine zest. Taste is dry, sweet-ish and tart, funky, yeasty, minimally fruity hoppy, hints of grape sugar, brine, mandarine, a touch of fresh hay, dill, mustard seed, old lemon peel, some oak. Minimally oily texture, fine, prickly carbonation. Rich, complex, well balanced, harmonious - a really sophisticated composition. Very, very nice.

Tasting glass in front of De Bierkoning, Carnivale Brettanomyces 2017. Amber color. Acidic vinegarry aroma with hints of caramel. Iinitial malty caramelly sweetness, flowing into a apple vinegarry sourness.

Tasting glass in front of De Bierkoning during Carnivale Brettanomyces 2017. Pale amber color. Licorice in the malty aroma. A soft apple milky sourness. Malty with lots of licorice. Out of balance, but not without potential.

Bottle sampled at Carnivale Brettanomyces homebrew market. Slght hazy golden with small white head. Soft wheat, light grainy, saison yeast, soft citrus. Just medium sweet and bitter, very light sour. OK, much better than the dark smoky/peaty version I had a few years ago.
