Description
Champion brewing company is Virginia's most progressive brewery, producing a wide variety of ales in two locations: our downtown Charlottesville tap room and our Belmont production facility. Our production brewery known as the 'missile factory' produces our core and seasonal beers on a 30-barrel brewhouse, at a current operating capacity of 15,000 barrels per year. Our original tap room produces constantly changing and innovative seasonals, one-offs, and barrel-aged wild beers.

From a 12 oz can. Pours a slightly hazy gold with a white head. Aromas of bread dough. Flavors are crisp hops and sweet pale malts.

Keg at the brewery, 1.8.20. Dark brown large creamy tan head good retention. Aroma of roast, carob, rye, chocolate. Taste is roast, cherry, rye, chocolate. Medium bodied low bitterness. Comes across more like black forest cake than pumpernickel, but its tasty.

Can at home happy to find the style Lovely dark pot and head sits up nice to enjoy. Nose is dark roast and coffee. Tastes of coffee, chocolate, earth, cherry, licorice. Smooth palate. Hides the 10%.
