On tap at Craft Room, Zagreb. Pours dark brown, tan head. The first I had seemed quite roasty, the ones I’ve tried afterwards seemed more balanced. Chocolate, sweet, bitter finish, soft carbonation, bit lactic? Medium bodied.

On tap at Craft Room Zagreb. Almost black coloured, small to medium sized brownish head, some caramel in the nose. Roasted malt, caramel, light chocolate, notes of hops and mild roasty bitterish finish. Easy-drinkable and pleasant stout.

On tap at Craft Room, Opatovina, Zagreb. Dark brown to black, small off-white head. Mostly roasty, dark malts, light fruity, nuts. Light body, medium carbonation. Nice roasty-sweet balance, a bit on the roasty side. Light roasty finish. Quite light beer for a 5.7 stout. Nothing spectacular.

On tap at Craft Room. Whee, these guys, some of the most positive people on the scene, have finally released their second beer. Let’s see what they pulled out on Kahli equipment. Pretty, lovely even black body with a brownish head. Looks brilliant! Aroma... hmm... toasty, very toasty, caramunich rules here, sweetish too, kinda heavy, some raisins, soft. Taste... light body, toastiness again, medium hoppiness pops up here and there underneath, initially quite dry and bitterish, later on gets sweeter and some notes of honey pop out too. Nice but decidedly not flashy. Light tweaking needed and that’s exactly what they plan on doing! Update: Excellent in this last batch, upping it somewhat.

Shared bottle at RB/HD at Bjørnøy 29.12.16. Golden. White head and lacing. Aroma and taste of pale malt and old citrus, with a hint of Belgian infection.

Litt tydeligere maltkropp hadde kanskje hjulpet. Ubalansert?

Bottle, 500 ml at Valhalla, Zagreb. Pours unclear dark golden, small white head. Hoppy, fruity, apricot, some pine, malty, sweetish. Harsh bitterness in finish. Medium bodied. Bit rough around the edges, there is room for improvement.

A 0.5 l bottle from Mali Ducan, Split. It pours a hazy orange body with a medium sized yellow hued head. Lightly stale orange, undecipherable sweetish spicy and biscuit aroma. Flavor is bitter, just a little bit, lightly herbal and citrus fruity with a prominent stale note, same as in the nose. Biscuit and chalk yeast component was quite weak and subdued although transition from hops is continuous and smooth. Thinner in body with shorter to medium finish, mostly bitter. It can be improved for sure, as now this is just a light, sub par pale ale.
