Draught @ Brauerei Friedel, Hochstadter Strasse 1, Zentbechhofen, Bavaria Germany 91315.Clear medium orange yellow colour with a average to large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, fully lasting, white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, hay, straw, toasted, fruity, light to moderate hoppy. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, crispy. grass - straw. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20110422]

Bottle @ Bamberg. Pours clear yellow with a creamy egg white´foam. Grain and corn. Floral hop flavor. Medium bodied. A bit rough around the edges.

Bottle @ Brewery. Pours amber with a spritzy off white head. Bread, perfume and spices. Some dusty vintage notes. Medium bodied. Dont think it was a really fresh bottle they sold me? Still ok drinkable . .

Bottle @ Brewery. Pours amber with a off white head. Sweet malts. Bread, dust and paper. An old feel . . .Medium bodied. Disappointment!

33cl bottle @ brewery. Pours clear yellow with a creamy off white head. Grain, corn and hay. Quite malty. Some bread crust. Medium bodied. Ok

(bottle) Clear, amber colour with a big and tanned foamy head. Slightly sweet cara-malty and slightly nutty aroma with notes of citric and herbal hops. Sweet-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Present cara-malty base with nutty and subtle fruity notes; moderately dry and slightly toasty finish with a noble hoppy blend. Again a quaffable brew from Zentbechhofen. 02.V.10

Cloudy amber with a large beige head. Malty aroma with hints of grassy hops and caramel. Hoppy flavour with caramel, grass, bread and toasted malt. Finished dry and bitter.

50 cL bottle. Pours cloudy dark orange with a huge off-white head. Aroma is mild malty, nutty and breadish. Roasted malty, breadish and dry caramelish flavoured. Nice roasted into a dry finish. Lasting malty impression.

(bottle) Hazy, amber colour with a big off-white foamy head. Citrus-fruity hoppy and bready cara-malty aroma with notes of liquorice. Moderately sweet and slightly bitter flavour, medium to light bodied with a calm carbonation. Cara-malty, slightly bready and minimal yeasty taste with notes of liquorice and spicy as well as fruity noble hops, lingering into the moderately dry finish with a well rounded malt-character. Classical Franconian Lager. 30.IV.10

(bottle) Clear, pale golden colour with a big and dense foamy white head. Moderately sweet malty and distinctively citrus-fruity and slightly floral hoppy aroma. Sweet and slightly bitter flavour, light to medium bodied, almost crispy on the tongue. Soft pale malty base with light notes of citrus and floral hops; dry, sweet and mildly bitter finish with delicately notes of aroma hops. A very fine Helles. 29.IV.10
