Bottle pour at MBCC 2025 (Yellow session), pours a deep dark purple, no head. Aroma brings out bright oak, subtle bourbon, cognac, and deep honey nectar. Flavour is extremely rich, with sickly sweet honey that drowns everything else out. That’s an insane amount of honey and sugar. Good but lacking elegance.

Bottle pour at MBCC 2025 (Blue session), pours a deep dark burgundy, no head. Aroma has rich treacly honey, some cognac barrels, and toffee. Flavour is extremely rich and sweet, with intense berries, deep honey nectar, and a hint of cognac. Very sweet but has endless depth. Excellent.

Bottle pour at MBCC 2025 (Yellow session), pours a deep, filthy purple. Nose brings out lavender, dark berries, and deep honey in good cohesion. Flavour is ridiculously rich, with intense berry pith, vanilla, deep honey, and a touch of bourbon. The palate is a bit messed up, with chunky pithiness, but the flavour is fantastic if a bit sickly sweet. Excellent.

Flavour is super rich, with intense currants, moderate tartness, intense sweetness, treacly honey, and a hint of vanilla. So much currant—jammy, sweet, and tart. Lovely.

Flavour is super jammy, but the palate ruins this, as it’s super gritty—that’s like a smoothie mead in consistency. Good ruined by the palate.
