Appearance: Foggy gold with a large white rocky head. Aroma: crackers, herbal hop, fruity notes. Taste: light sweet, medium bitter. Crackers, herbs, fruity notes. Lingering hoppy ending. Mouth feel: light to medium body, average carbonation. Summary: godd.

Appearance: Light gushing. Opaque dark brow to black with a large beige frothy head of decent retention. Aroma: Dark malts, caramel, roasted, walnut, cream, coffee, chocolate, salty hints. Taste: Medium sweet, Low to light bitterness. Caramel, cream, somewhat roasted, walnut, coffee, chocolate. distant hop. Mouth feel: Medium minus body. Average carbonation. Bottom line: One-dimensional.

Tap. Almost black, coffee foam. Aroma: burnt, coffee, coconut, dill, sweet. Sweet taste, coconut, creamy, coffee, burn barley, caramel, slightly bitter finish, not bad overall.

Tap. Only slightly hazy, golden, dense almost white foam. Aroma: citrus, flowers, tangerine, fruity, candy. Taste: malt, candy, tangerines, lychee, hay, other fruits, slight bitterness, drinkable.

On tap at Eric the Red in Moscow. Pours black with a medium-sized beige head. Aroma is rather imperceptible… just roastiness. Taste is light sweet, roastiness, black sugar, not much of a finish to speak of. Light bodied. Bland.

On tap at Eric the Red as Odna Tonna Helles. Pours clear gold with a medium-sized white head. Looks good. Aroma is wet grain and malt. Taste is light sweet, wet grain, yeast and malt. Light bitter finish. Something off about it. Everyone else in the bar seemed to be enjoying it. Managed to accidentally knock over the last 100 or so millilitres in the glass.

Appearance: opaque deep brown to black with a good ivory-coloured head. Aroma: not much of. Dark malts, toast, cream. Taste: light sweet, toasted. Cream. Some hop. Roasted in the aftertaste. Mouth feel: light body, average carbonation. Summary: not much of everything.

Tap. Almost black, coffee foam. Aroma: sweetish, esters, port wine, caramel, chocolate, prunes, a little haze and molasses, a little whisky. Taste: dense, thick, dark and burnt malts, a little smoked, a little dried apple and prunes, molasses, whisky, burnt sugar, bread crust, wine, powerful, well balanced, warming, good brew.
