Half-pint from cask shared with Finn at Brunswick Inn. Beige patchy layer at the top of a near-clear brown coloured body. Mid-roasted aroma of brown malts and spiced fruit. Malt-fruity flavours including spiced dried fruits, red orange and caramel malts. Leafy hop bitterness to the finish. Medium to thin bodied. A rather tasty, easy drinking nightcap after a long day (Derby 15.02.2016).

Cask at The Rising Sun, Berkhamstead, Saturday 6th February 2016 Hazy gold orange with a few islands of film on top. Aroma is a little non existant, there is a little malt but not too much else. Fairly straightforward session cask ale, a bit of citrus. Decent. A6 A3 T7 P3 Ov13 3.2

Cask gravity at the Watford beer fest 2015. Murky dull golden orange pout with a fading loose head. Aroma is caramel biscuit and grassy, tangy. Hint of citrus. Wood shavings. Flavour is composed of woody, vanilla, solvent, caramac bar, dirty grassy and pine needle hop. Bit of a weird one. Palate is medium sweet, hot alcohol, grainy, a grassy.

Cask at the Lord Clifden, Birmingham. Poured a crystal clear light straw colour with a frothy white head. The aroma is malt, light floral hop. The flavour is moderate to light bitter with a watery light floral medicinal doughy biscuit yeast palate. Light bodied with soft carbonation. Drinkable but I suspect that this was not exactly fresh.

Chelmsford Beer Festival. Cask. Hazy gold beer, small white head. Palate is light with modest fine carbonation. Nice mellow orange and a little orange squash. Trace of lemon and a whisper of ester. Mild marmalade before a semi dry finish. Goes down easy.

Cask-conditioned at the Seven Stars, Bristol February 2015. Deep amber in colour, with a frothy, off-white, head. Cardamom and sweet, tangerine fruits, a warming edge, hint of honey and spicy finish. Fine.
