Description
The birth of Reids Gold Brewing Company happened back in 2013 after a craft beer home brew kit was given as a Christmas present to its founder Barry Reid. Little did he know then how far his passion/obsession would take him.

In April 2018 Reids Gold Brewing Company made its first sale to trade and have been growing ever since. The vision will be to move to a larger facility one day, once we are able to do so but will be keen to stay in our local area.

We are dedicated to the craft beer industry and love everyone in it. We now have some great relationships with other local breweries and businesses and are so grateful for the support we keep getting. We want people to relate to us and understand that we are here for you guys first as with out you all we are nothing.

440ml can from Devenick Drinks, Strathaven - Cloudy gold body, short lived white top. Sharp tangy tropical fruit, lots of unripe mango, a little sweet banana taste. There's a bit of a salty aftertaste, makes it quite an interesting finish.

On tap at BrewDog Cardiff, pours a cloudy golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is full of estery banana, light maple, toasted nuts, and sweet bready malt. Flavour has a weird combo of maple and banana that comes across almost sour, with a very estery character on the finish. Too sour, not enough of the authentic weizen bock character I'd want in the style. Meh.

Keg at MSBH. It pours cloudy / murky golden - orange with a small white head. The aroma is soft, tangy, sweet - sour, blueberry pancakes, bramble, sherbet, lemon, icing sugar and candy. The taste is crisp, dry, snappy, tangy, sweet - sour, lemon - lime, sherbet, verbena, blueberries, bramble, tangy, cake batter, passion fruit and fun times with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Better than expected.

Can thanks to cgarvieuk. Appearance - murky orange with an autumnal red middle. Thin white head. Nose - sour cherry going into orange. Taste - more sour cherry. Don't get the almond personally but the other guys did. Palate - light bodied, sour and lightly bitter finish. Overall - ok.
