Description
The birth of Reids Gold Brewing Company happened back in 2013 after a craft beer home brew kit was given as a Christmas present to its founder Barry Reid. Little did he know then how far his passion/obsession would take him.

In April 2018 Reids Gold Brewing Company made its first sale to trade and have been growing ever since. The vision will be to move to a larger facility one day, once we are able to do so but will be keen to stay in our local area.

We are dedicated to the craft beer industry and love everyone in it. We now have some great relationships with other local breweries and businesses and are so grateful for the support we keep getting. We want people to relate to us and understand that we are here for you guys first as with out you all we are nothing.

Crowler picked up at BD Inverurie. It pours darkest brown to black with a small khaki head. The aroma is sweet, juicy, tangy, loads of berry, jammy, fruit compote, toasty, umami, treacle, cacao nibs, toasty malt and hint of smoke. The taste is dry roasted malt, toasty, bitter - sweet, toasty, umami, light smoke, jammy, tangy berry compote, liquorice, cacao nibs, molasses and a touch of coffee with a toasty finish. Medium body and average carbonation. Fruit is pretty well integrated into the base bier. Decent.

Keg at BD Waterloo, 20/10/22. Extremely dark mahogany brown with a good sized beige cap that retains well. Nose is dried berries, faint pine nip, biscuit, caramel. Taste comprises raisins, ashen notes, toffee, dried fruits, grains, red berry tingle. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light drying close. Tidy enough for the style.
