Flasche von Edeka, Dinkelsbühl. - Schönes tiefes Rotbraun, mehr Rot als Braun. - In der Nase Karamel, Röstmalz und eine leicht krautig-hopfige Note, evtl. Anis. - Im Antrunk kräftiges Röstmalz, Bayrisch Blockmalz, dabei wenig süß. Durchschnittlich rezent, etwas dünnes Mundgefühl. Im Abgang leicht angebranntes Malz und eine etwas unangenehme, kühle, erdig-holzige Note. Wenig hopfenaromatisch, kaum hopfenbitter. Als Nachtrunk bleibt eine Bittere von angebranntem Malz, dazu der eigenartig kühle Holzton. - Durchaus trinkbar aber nicht so ganz mein Fall.

Vom Faß im Gasthaus Zur Glocke, Dinkelsbühl (23.4.2014). - Goldgelb, klar. - Antrunk schlank und frisch zitronig-hopfig. Durchschnittlich rezent. Mäßig bitterer Abgang mit leicht grasig-scharfer Hopfigkeit. Längerer bitterer Nachtrunk. - Angenehmes fränkisches Pils.

Drank it at the Market Place in Feuchtwangen at noon. Full Weizen body, some notes of banana and blossom. All in all it’s just tasty and a bit different from the mass production Bavaria Beers. Good beer.

It’s not obligatory a Bavarian business to produce Pils. You’ll choose some other sort being in Bavaria. And you’ll be wholly right. Not really bad but one to forget.
