Bottle - NIce banana, peach/apricot aroma- not overwhelming. Cloudy light tan color. Flavor is much more spicy but subtler than one might expect from the aroma - cloves initially followed by a mild banana flavor. Fairly high carbonation but not as sweet as many Weizens. Full bodied. Would be near perfect if flavors came out more.

Bottle - Very nice banana/clove aroma - amazing for a leichte. Color is clear, amber. Flavor very light and watery. Banana and clove flavor barely detectable at all but not bad for this type of beer as leichte (or light) beer in Germany refers to the alcohol content, not the calories. This isn’t too bad of a choice if you are designated driver, otherwise stick with the regular. --- Beer merged from original tick of Julius Echter Premium Leichte Weisse on 17 Sep 2004 at 10:50 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 9 | Flavor - 5 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 6. Bottle - Malt and corn aroma. NIce clear amber color. Full malt flavor with moderate hops. More full bodied than most German pilsners. A very nice beer that is a challenge to find even in Wuerzburg.

Bottle. Sweet malty aroma with hint of raisins, dark brown clear color with nice tan head. Sweet malt flavor - a slight astrigent / chalky finish that fades as beer warms. Better at room temperature.

Bottle. Sweet malt and hops aroma. Dark amber color with light tan ample head. Sweet malt flavor with mild hops. Nice full palate. --- Beer merged from original tick of Würzburger Hofbräu Jubiläumsbier on 13 Aug 2004 at 13:30 - Score: Appearance - 10 | Aroma - 8 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 8. Probably only available in the Wuerzburg area - hurry up and try it or you’ll have to wait until the 1400th anniversary.

Tap. Moderate aroma of primarily peach and malt. Nice medium brown cloudy appearance - exactly what I expect from a Dunkel. Flavor is exceptional - peach and malt flavor well blended without either being overpowering. One of the best when fresh.

This is a hazy tea colored brown beer with a huge creamy head. Aroma has some clove, a little banana, but not as much as some others. The flavor is sweet with a touch of sourness from the wheat, fruity with a creamy full mouth feel. Average stuff.

Aroma fairly subtle malt. Nice dark color with good head. Very nice strong malt flavor with the barest hint of molasses/treacle - very little sweetness. Very full palate. Next to no bitterness. An extremely good Schwarzbier. (Drank from bottle at Wuerzburg Hofbrau so this was extremely fresh).

Only can get this beer at the Wuerzburg Hofbrau restaurant (at least it’s the only place I’ve seen it). Superb malty flavor. Good head - cloudy appearance. Great taste - smooth malty flavor - next to no bitterness. A great beer.

Strong banana aroma with a hint of nutmeg. Nice clear appearance. Fruity flavor although carbonation wasn’t quite a high as I really like in a Kristall. Still overall a very good beer. Great summer beer.
