Typical Hefeweizen in appearance, big long lasting creamy head, hazy deep yellow color. Aroma has the banana, yeast and malt as it should. I suspect mine was past it's peak as Hefeweizens reach and pass their peak quickly.

Smooth, refreshing, middle of the road beer. No serious faults or extraordinary surprises.

Hazy golden colour with a thin white head. Fairly yeasty aroma with high levels of sweetness and malt. Medium-bodied; Subtle sweet flavour with some other flavours. Aftertaste left with a very small subset of the sweetness and spiceyness. Overall, a wierd beer, not an Oktoberfest at all (a bit deceiving in the name). I bought this twelve ounce bottle at Beers of the World in Rochester, New York and tasted it on 17-October-2003.

A hazy brown colour with a very dense (3 centimetres thick) tan head. Smells of disgusting canned corn, a bit of wheat, and caster sugar are all prominent. Taste which is very sweet, a bit wheaty and definately remiminiscent of that damn canned corn. As I drink more and more...the taste gets a bit better...definately more sweet, but still equally as refreshing. The aftertaste is sweet from the residual sugar that wasn't turned into alcohol. A definately interesting beer...and pretty good actually with all things considered. I got this bottle in a beer trade with great guy and great trader Matt A. (Mabdoney) from Florida. Thanks again!

Deny me not, this beer smells and tastes like circus peanuts. Pours a cloudy red/brown with an off-white head. Possesses a yeasty, estery aroma. Flavor is circus peanuts (you know, those orange sugary monstrosities), with banana and wheat flavors striking the palate. An interesting brew.

2010 rating: Draught, brewery. Fluffy head, cloudy tan body. Sugary, dusty and a bit of pedio on the nose. Very sweet, sugary character. Doesn’t really come together much.

2005 rating: Bottle. Pale straw colour, hazy, rich and thick head. A little bit sweet, sweaty. Simplistic, with only slight banana, sugar nuances. 5-4-5-2-8 = 2.4

Golden straw; biscuits, hay in the aroma; sweetish body; soft maltiness - fluffy, hinting of marshmallows & fresh bread; finishes med. long - balanced between clean malt and a touch of grassy hop.

Dominant fruity aroma, a little pineapple and other tropical impressions. Hazy yellow with a very thick head. German Wheats are not really my thing. This would have been good on the porch on a hot summer day but I just don't enjoy them with food, they don't seem to cut through very well.

A lighter interpretation, with good toffee-malt flavours and a refreshing body
