Bottle@TheWolf. Pours deep amber with a creamy head. Aroma is very sweet & sugay. Rye-bread, caramel & sugar all over. Mouthfeel is soft & sticky. Tasted it up agains Hacker- pschoor doppelbock which was a lot better!

(bottle) Pitch black coloured hue with a thick and slowly lacing beige foamy head. Light-sweet, delicately roasted malty aroma, slightly leafy with notes of chocolate, coffee and a shy whiff of herbal hops. Light-bitter flavour with shades of acidity, light to medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Roast-malty taste with chocolate, liquorice and traces of coffee; quite dry and moderately roasty, slightly bitter finish (12.05.08).

(bottle) Clear, pale golden colour with a Pilsener-blonde foamy head. Slightly sweet and a bit dusty malty nose with shy herbal hoppy notes. Light-bitter flavour, light bodied with a moderate carbonation. Slim pale malty base with light herbal accents; moderately dry and bitter finish, getting unpleasantly sharp and tart in the aftertaste. No highlight (12.05.08).

(bottle) Clear, pale golden colour with a medium-sized foamy white head. Soft sweet and slightly grainy and milky malt aroma with a faint fruity note in the background. Medium-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a soft and quite pleasant mouthfeel. Mild malty, slightly grainy and subtle fruity taste with a medium-dry, malt-accented finish with a whiff of bitterness. Not great, just nice (04.05.08).

(Draught at the brewpub on 2008-02-09) Clear and light. Rather big head. Nose contains hops, malts and yeast. Banana in taste. Palater is a bit on the dry side. Somewhat strange beer.

Bottle: Poured a golden with large fluffy white head that lasted a long time. The aroma is sour skunky grass. The taste is a smooth corny harvest with a refreshing lip wetting touch. A pretty good pils!

(bottle) Slightly hazy, pale golden colour with a fluffy white foam. Moderately sweet, slightly acidic fruity (citrus, banana) aroma with light notes of cloves and vanilla. Sweet and slightly sour flavour. Wheat-malty, fruity and slightly yeasty taste; also slightly cardboardy towards the end; soft and even a bit flat carbonation, that makes the finish slightly sticky (26.02.08).

Brown pint bottle from Vintage Estates, thanks Nutz. Now this is a pretty good example of friendly Hefe. Typical quality hefe appearance; a sort of cloudy beige. Mild heffy wheat aroma that is not overwhelming with spices. Funny artificial spice banana aroma hints. Goodly layer of unfiltered gunk on the bottom of the bottle provides for that beautiful swirling and hypnotizing unfiltered wheat pour. Very good carbonation initially on the palate. Nearly tart flavors that morph into a nice wheat experience. Very little bitterness. Borders on being a mild sour ale or lambic at times during the session. Somewhat like a good saison. I want to go down on the farm. Finish is a little dull yet intriguing. No bitter aftertaste per se.

Draught at the Village Cafe & Pub, Niles, .5L hefe glass. Except for the a lemon slice being rubbed around the rim then dropped in the beer, a nice presentation. Cloudy, slightly dulled yellow under a pillowy head that slips away quickly. Lemon adds to what seems to a standing citrus smell and taste. Some slightly spicy wheat malt and a subdued package of hefeweizen esters. Lemony impressions stay throughout the beer. Not a showoff, just a nice impression of the style.

50 cL bottle. Pours dark brown with a diminishing light brown head. Breadish aroma, dry. Flavour is dry breadish with a mild caramel note, yet persisting dry into the finish.
