6/2008...about 6 months of age on this beer....Foam is almost white...at least the closest to white that I’ve seen in a beer head....a slight cloudiness--and light copper...smells of wheat, yet earthy + sweet clove--smells a bit sour -- initial burst of sweet...very very quick, then sour....mid-palate, the usual wheat and clove flavors...this whole thing has essences of a Flemish sour...it has a creaminess to it as it warms up in my glass...I would like to try this again when its fresh

(bottle) Clear, ruby colour with a medium-sized, slightly tanned foamy head. Sweet toast-malty nose with a touch of molasses, dried berry fruity and alcohol. Sweet flavour, full bodied and soft on carbon. Solid, slightly toasted malty and molassy taste with a distinctive berry fruity note combined with shades of caramel; sweet malty finish with a somewhat warming but also well-hidden alcoholic touch. Nice Doppelbock (19.06.08).

(Draught at the brewpub)On June 6, 2008Cloudy yellowish to light orange color, fluffy white head. Spicy and fruity banana scent. Spicy and estery banana taste. Classic example I’d say. Moussy mouthfeel, low bitterness. They’ve really created the perfect image of a hefeweizen the way I see it.

Unterdurchschnittlich. Test vom 23.5.2008, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 9,7,5,5,8,4 - 5,45
