(bottle) Clear and pale golden colour with a foamy white medium head. Shy malty, slightly grainy nose with grassy hops. Very mild flavours, light to medium bodied, smooth, almost creamy mouthfeel. Initially soft and light-sweet malty taste with a balanced bitter and herbal hoppy finish. A fine and balanced Pils without any failures.

Bottle: Poured a dark cloudy brown color dunkel with a huge foamy dirty brown head with pretty good retention. Aroma of banana with hints of cinnamon with sweet strong malt. Taste has notes of banana with some sweet malt but not much bitterness is discernable. Creamy texture is really enjoyable and body is fuller then average. Thanks to Lubière for this sample!

Clear brown with mahogany hues, and a thin white head. Sweet spicey caramel aroma with prunes in aroma, lightly vinous. In mouth, sweet candy, cloves, bananas, and light maderization. Oily mouthfeel, and lighter bodied. Still quite enjoyable. Bottle is about 1 yr old. Beers of the World, Rochester.

Smallish, white head over mahogany-red body. Sweet, malty, earthy, bread-like aroma. Smells somewhat stale, like most German beer. Powerful, sweet taste of malts, very nicely rounded, like marzipan, lingers for a long time in the mouth. An excellent doppelbock.

Medium-sized creamy head, dark-red almost black clear body. Aroma is sweet and raisin-like. Deep, dry toffee/raisin taste, which in the aftertaste dries up. An excellent schwarzbier. Taste could have lingered longer, though. (0.5l bottle.)

Biggish white lasting shiny head. Hazy pale yellow body. Light chalky herbal bananaish aroma. Dryish-sweet bananaish milky pepper taste, soft and rounded, with herbal notes. Full body, mild mouthfeel. Dryish oily banana aftertaste with spicy notes. Light hoppy notes linger. Nice weizen. (0.33l draft at Thüringer Hof, Leipzig. Previously rated at Bäcköfele, Würzburg.)

Bottled (BB 01/2006)
Hazy yellow color, light creamy white head. Banana aroma. Carbonated, crisp, dry wheat flavor. Quite malty, hints of lemon. Clean, refreshing hefeweizen.

Light bronze colour. Slight haze. Slightly sweaty aroma. Sweet, plasticy character. Maybe a little candyish in the finish. Vaguely drinkable, but overly sweet even for a dunkelweisse and doesn’t have any particular dark malt character.

Bottle. Subtle sweet malt aroma. Reddish brown color with moderate head - clear. Malt flavor with a hint of sweetness and tartness - no bitterness at all. NIce full body. A very good bottled Landbier - very enjoyable

Cloudy copper with lasting, frothy, off-white head - damp and earth aroma, clove and other spices and a mild tartness - grainy and bready, with just a hint of sweetness - some slight fruitiness and yeastiness - quite subtle but extremely flavorful - dry, somewhat tart finish - well-rounded.
