So I scored this 500ml bottle but it may have some age on it. No date on it. Poured into a tulip glass with a big frothy head. Color is murky dark amber, no clarty in the beer and very little translucence. Aroma is strong - meaty slighty oxidized, sour tangerine with lots of sweetness. Taste is rather empty no recognizable affects of age though. Leaves no aftertaste, no bitterness. Medium body.

(Bottle 50 cl) I’ve had "Dirty Dick" and "Old Nick" - here the two seem to have merged into "Old Dick". Dark orange/light brown with a thick - almost stiff - and very rich head. Lovely aromatic and nicely balancing with nutty, malty notes and the Challenger hops. Dry and very drinkable. Excellent bottle conditioned English Strong Ale - if you can forgive the naive and primitive label. 230302

Very dark brown. Sweetish, roasty aroma. Thinnish body...this always bugs me, but especially in a meaty beer like a stout. Slightly oily, chocolatey. Sweetish finish.

Orange/Amber colour with a VERY large dense white head. A simply mouthwatering aroma of lemon, grapefruit, tangerines and strong hops. Medium-bodied; High carbonation; Decently strong flavour, showing of a good balance with malt and the grapefruity hops come out in the taste as well. Aftertaste subtle compared to the aroma and taste, but is fairly clean. Overall, I enjoyed this beer...not the best, but better than average! I bought this 50 cL beer at Beers of the World in Rochester, New York.

I have heard that this brewery is either closed or closing soon which is a shame. Pours almost black with a medium light brown head. Very thin lacing. Aroma of coffee with underlying chocolate. Body is rather thin with coffee, cocoa and roasted malt flavors. Finish is a little sweet and a little sour. On the grand scale this Stout was not stellar, but I would like to try it again if I can get my hands on any more.
