(bottle, 33cl) Hazy, dark brown colour with a beige and firm medium-sized foamy head. Nutty and slightly roasted malty aroma with notes of cough syrup, dried fruity notes and cassis. Moderately sweet and slightly roasty bitter flavour, quite full bodied with a soft carbonation. Mildly roasted malt character with nutty notes, bread crusts and molasses, backed by berry-fruity hops, drying the brew towards the sweet-bitter and quite lingering finish. Nice one. 04.IX.16

(bottle, 33cl) Hazy, dark and ruby amber colour with a tanned mid-sized frothy head. Yeasty, dark and slightly toasted malty aroma with woody notes of old furniture, a whiff of smoke, accompanied by fruity hints of dark and dried berries, vanilla and shades of booze. Moderately sweet flavour with a whiff of acidity, medium bodied with a modest carbonation. Mildly toasted and smoky malty base with oaky notes, dried fruits and a mildly vinous touch; moderately sweet and delicately acidic dried fruity and vinous finish with a tinge of alcohol and smoke. Interesting brew, has some character of its own. 04.IX.16

Mildly bitter and delicately tart flavour, light to medium bodied with a tame carbonation.
