Since 1663 the brewing trade has remained in direct family hands. The fathers always passed the art of brewing beer on to their sons. And that's still the case today! All the Georgs, Johanns and Leonhards brewed their beer here in Pahres with fresh water from the same brewery's own well. In the past also with self-grown Aischgründer hops.

The Hofmann brewery has grown to its present size under the leadership of Georg Hofmann and delivers its beer within a radius of up to 60 km from the brewery chimney. Since 1990 responsibility has been in the hands of Georg Hofmann.

This should be aliased with the other Hopfengold from the brewery. Trade with Culchiem. Thanks. Pours clear yellow with a small white head. Nose is straw and metal. Also some rotten notes. Flavor is rough grain, grass and a bit of bread. Medium bodied. Bitter dry finish.

Bottle: Golden, hazy, pretty discreet grapefruity to piney nose, sweet pale malt underneath; solid dry bitter and sweet flavour, full bodied, but smooth; sweet elements in the dry bitter pineappley finish. Superb stuff…

Bottle. Cloudy orange with a firm white head. Aroma is yeasty banana. Flavour is basically decent weizen, fruity and yeasty with a dry cloudy palate.

Bottle. Clear chestnut amber witha shortlived head. Aroma of malt and caramel Flavour is litght bitter chocolate with a nutty base. Finish is dry chocolate.

Bottle from probier. Clear golden with a medium lasting head. Aroma is malt and citrus. Flavour is malt, grass and a sharp even bitterness running throughout.

Piwo smaczne lecz nie nazwałbym go kellerbierem lecz lagerem długo leżakowanymn w piwnicy. Piwo jest filtrowane, ale naturalne aromaty są wyczuwalne dość wyraźnie. Kolor nie przypomina jasnych masowych lagerów tylko czeskie lezaki. Piana dobra i trzyma się długo
