Established in 1850
After the end of communism and the split of Czechoslovakia, the brewery came into private hands in 1994 who however without the know-how for running a brewery. This resulted in bankruptcy in 2002, the brewery was very outdated and the debt burden very high and yet it was taken over. The production process was examined and everything was renewed, resulting in a high quality of brewed beer.

Piana gesta, biala, ładnie oblepia szkło. Barwa rubinowa, dosyć ciemne. W aromacie dominują wiśnie i lekko majaczy słód. W smaku nadzienie wiśniowo budyniowe jak w drożdżówkach francuskich od Pawlaka. Smaczne. Słodkie, posmak lekko metaliczny.

On tap pours out red topped with a pink head. Nose is sweet cherries and some cereal malts. Taste is more of the sweet cherries some cereal and a bite of syrup.

Bottled as Starodubice Desitka Tmavá at 4.6% ABV. Appearance: Clear deep brown with a large ivory-coloured frothy head of good retention. Aroma and taste: Toasted malt, treacle, bread, dried fruits, herbal hop. Light sweet & bitter. Mouth feel; Light to medium body, average to lively carbonation. Overall: Drinkable.

As Starodubice Třináctka at 5.9% ABV. Appearance: Opaque deep rown to black with a nice beige head. Aroma: Toasted malt, baked bread, dried fruits, hop. Taste: Medium dry. Intense. Toasted & roasted, bread, dried fruits, pronounced hop. Mouth feel: Medium body, softy plus carbonation. Summary: Decent.
