Description
Neptune Brewery has been brewing modern beers, inspired by tradition, since 2015. We’re a small but mighty team and proudly independent. Our beers are naturally conditioned and all the “uns” - that’s unfiltered, unpasteurised and unfined - ensuring the greatest flavour in each brew. It also means our beers are vegan friendly as we believe that everyone should be able to enjoy them.

Can (cracked in the cellar...!!!): As black as ink, smaller tanned head, rich but kind of artificial aroma of coffee, coconut, toasted malt and vanilla; quite dry bitter-sweet flavour, pretty light bodied, soft at least; moderate bitterness and coconut in the soft and lingering malty-coffeeish finish.Quite O.K., but it could be better without the coconuts...

Six Bells, Bishops Castle; gravity poured half-pint on 7th July 2018. Golden coloured body, off-white affair on top. Light hop aroma with some malty esters coming through. The taste has malty molasses to the fore giving a semi-sweet feel to the brew, late hop bitter balance though.

(Cask at Craft Beer Co St Mary Axe, London, 25 May 2018) Dark brown colour, almost black, with foamy beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of caramel, dark bread and chocolate. Malty, roasted taste with chocolate, coffee, caramel, nuts and a mild roasty bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a slight sweetness. Tasty and well balanced. Quite nice.
