Bottle, bb 15 sty 2018 (thanks BlazerT). Pours dark brown. Aroma is chocolate, malt, fruits, sugar. Flavor is sweet and bitter, smoked cheese, fruits, malt. Finish is smoke and malt. Covers alcohol really well. Overall: great.

500ml bottle [courtesy of Frank from Bielefelder Biersalon, thank you very much!]. Slightly cloudy, orangey golden colour with small, frothy to creamy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Citrusy fruity, hoppy aroma, notes of lemon, lemon tea, some grapefruit, passion fruit, orange, a sugary touch of instant lemon tea. Taste is citrusy fruity hoppy, slightly diluted notes of lemon, grapefruit, a touch of mango; watery passages, minimally chalky finish.

Butelka 0,5 z datą ważności 21.03.2017. AROMAT: nuty zbożowe przeplatają się z kwiatowością. Kwiatowość zdecydowanie pochodząca od miodu a nie pracy drożdży, delikatna słodka miodowość. BARWA: bardzo jasne złoto, wręcz słomkowy z delikatnym przymgleniem. PIANA: średnia, drobno pęcherzykowa, nie zbyt trwała opadając delikatnie zdobi szkło. SMAK: słodkie ale nie przesadnie, miód dominuje w smaku ale nie tworzy ulepku, jest wyraźna zbożowość z lekko kwaskowatym posmakiem, wszystko jest całkiem dobrze zbalansowane dzięki czemu pije się przyjemnie. Wysycenie średnie, szybko się odgazowuje. Jak na piwo z miodem naprawdę fajne, tylko co to są naturalne aromaty(w składzie)? Po co?

Bottle shared at Ratebeer awards show. 30/01/2016. Huge thanks! A murky sticky dark mahogany brown coloured pour. Slick. Aroma is smokey brown malts, considerable phenol and TCP character. Flavour is composed of big sticky brown malts, plastic, smokey meat, phenol, cakey toffee, hockey puck. Palate s sweet and sticky, moderate carbonation. Fun to try but don’t believe the hype.

Bottle, thanks GallAno! Aroma is intense aromatic coffee, roasted malts. Taste is roasted, still lots of aromatic coffee, but not much more. Aroma turns a bit towards halitosis after you’ve had a few sips. Slightly watery mouthfeel, but very drinkable and interesting.

Bottle from Mesjasz, many thanks! Shared with tderoeck. Dark brown colour, beige foam. Nose of plums (a lot of plums), smoke, leather, tobacco, dark chocolate. Sweet and syrupy, along with the smoke and bitterness. Very special beer, very unique and tasty. I love oven-baked plums with bacon, and this is the liquid form of it. Wonderfull!

Black body, with a small, dense, coffee-colored head.
Aroma of cocoa, coffee, smoke, dark fruits, some liquorice, some sauce, some sweet spices.
Tastes quite similar, with a bit more dark fruits.
Medium, oily mouthfeel, with a soft carbonation.
Finishes smooth, medium roasty, a bit sweet, a bit dark fruity, with some cocoa powder, some liquorice, slight coffee.

Very nice, although I was expecting more. Smooth and well balanced, but I’m missing some more character for such a highly rated beer. Not among my favourite style examples and definitely overrated in my humble opinion.
