Gourmet-Flascherl (333ml): Light amber coloured, pretty small but at least persistent off-white head, hazy to cloudy; sweet malty nose with a sourish-fruity-yeasty touch, mild hoppy background, which is hardly detectable; moderate sweet and slightly bitter flavour, medium bodied, a bit sticky; lingering moderate sweet-bitter and fruity finish. Weak start, decent finish. Not unpleasant...

(bottle, 33cl) Dark brown colour with a beige and firm tall foamy head. Dark and mildly roasted malty, moderately wheaty aroma with notes of chocolate, toffee and phenolic spices. Bitter-sweet flavor with delicate tartness, medium bodied with a well-carbonated mouthfeel. Mildly roasted malty and slightly wheaty tart taste with present notes of chocolate, toffee and subtle accents of dried fruits; bitter-sweet and slightly tart finish with notes of dark chocolate in the aftertaste. Slightly dusty, dark and moderately roasted malty aroma with hints of bread crusts, chocolate, roasted grains and melanoidin. Moderately sweet and slightly roasty bitter flavour, medium bodied at best, prickly carbonation. Slightly roasted malty taste with crusty notes, chocolate and traces of herbal hops in the background; mildly roast-bitter and slightly hop spicy finish with a whiff of chocolate. Quite slim for its abv. 25.X.17

(bottle, slightly gushing) Hazy, orange-golden colour with a medium-sized and minimally off-white frothy head. Delicately grainy, slightly juicy malty and yeast-spicy aroma with notes of apricot and melon, as well as floral hops in the background. Mildly sweet and slightly bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a lively carbonation. Initially grainy malty base with fruity accents of apricot and melon, flowery hops towards the sweet-bitter finish with a grainy adtertaste. Just a tad fizzy, but likeable. 24.X.17
