Der Friedrich ist das leichte Sommerbier der Brauerei, das auch ganz gut gelungen ist. Nicht so vollmundig, aber dafür ist es auch nicht gemacht.

Vom Fass. Bräunlich rötliche Farbe mit einer cremigen, langlebigen Schaumkrone. Geruch nach Röstmalz und dunklen Beeren. Geschmacklich zeigen sich Röstmalz, dunkle Beeren und etwas Schokolade mit einer ansprechenden leichten Bitterkeit. Süffig und erfrischend.

Endlich mal ein guter Bock, der nicht nur nach Schnaps oder Zucker schmeckt. Für Freunde des gepflegten Bockbiers (der ich leider nicht bin) auf jeden Fall etwas gutes. Die Aromen greifen gut ineinander ohne sich zu behindern -so soll es sein.

Bottle from Euro Spar Furstenfeld. Lovely murky amber orange body, ephemeral yellowish head. Malty, honeyish, flowery aroma, pleasant. Sweet malty taste, light tangerine, honeyish, sweetish. Slightly yeasty. Ends slightly dryish. Sliightly soapy and polleny. Smooth. Very well hidden alcohol. The best of the bunch I reckon.

Euro Spar Furstenfeld. Shared with others on the Burgenland. Brownish dark body with a slightly off white head. Sharp herbal aroma with underlying caramel and coffee. Ok, slightly too sweet malty taste with caramel, coffee and dark chocolate. Liiight cardboard. Average dunkel.

Bottle. Euro Spar Furstenfeld. Shared with Morko, Stela and Silvija. Hazy golden body, small white head. Grainy sweetish aroma, bit rough, with even rougher herbal notes. Flowery soft sweetish malty taste with dull herbal touches. Dull, flat. Eh. Just not particularly enjoyable.

Es gibt Biere,die starten mit einem feinen spritzigen Aroma, gehen über im ein Feuerwerk an Geschmacksnuancen und schieben hinten noch einen Nachtrunk nach, dass es eine Freude ist. Und dann gibt es die Trude... Ein Bier wie sein Name...alte Oma. Im Eingang wird schwach gestartet, dann schnell nachgelassen und im Abgang werden noch die letzten Geschmackseindrücke abgetötet. Dabei schmeckt dieses Zwickl nicht schlecht, weil es einfach nach nicht viel schmeckt.

Jan. ’16. On tap at Känguruh, Vienna. It poured a clear, dark brown body with a big brown head atop. Aroma of roasted malt like coffee, cocoa and wood. Flavor was lightly bitter, roasted, with coffee, rye, a bit of wood and licorice. Smoothed by fine cocoa and dark chocolate. Relatively full body for a Schwarzbier, a quite nice one. Surprised it’s listed here as a Dunkel.

Light and clear, big head. Grassy aroma. Malts, some dryness, sweet finish. It develops surprisingly, low carbonation, medium palate. Better than I expected.

0,33l flip top bottle at home. BB 28.03.2016. orange hazy color, rather big off-white head. smells tobacco, fruity, some plums, sweetness, honey, caramel, light nuts, some spices, some grains. OKish smell. full body, soft carbonation, creamy mouthfeel. tastes fruity, plums, caramel, sweetness, honey, lightly flowery, nuts, peppery, tobacco, a bit astringent. finishes somewhat dry with notes of plums, spices and peppery. overall some nice notes but they dont blend together too well especially on the taste. just OK.
