About
The origins of the brewery can be traced back to 1797, with an inn and a grocer always mentioned. It has been family-owned since 1919. Today Günter and Rainer Wagner are responsible for the cool liquid from the keg, of which especially the Ungespundete Lagerbier has a cult status in Bamberg and the region. The brewery has an annual production of 17,000 hectoliters.

Bottled. Amber colour with a mediumsized creamy off-white head, which leaves some lace. Aroma is mild fruits, some herbs, mild grains as well as some slight toasted and mild sugary notes. Flavour is mild yeast along with some sweet malts, mild fruits as well as some toasted notes.

On tap at hop dog! So fresh. Amber clear. Very nice bitterness bite, caramel, grain, clean and tasty with good earthy hops.

Flaska från Bierothek. Disig ljusgul vätska med högt vitt skum. Doft av banan, nejlika, citrus, vetedeg. Torr, frisk och kryddig smak ned mycket karaktär. Tickat alla boxar på enbart hefe. Mycket gott

Optisch schönes dunkles Kupfer, Schaum passt. In der Nase ordentlich Malz und Getreide. Im Trunk sehr malzig, schrotig, dann röstig, Karamell, sehr würzig, lecker Ding, gleich noch nen Schluck, schmeckt!

Flaska från Bierothek. Klar gyllengul vätska med medelhögt krämigt vitt skum. Mjuk och len, stor och fyllig, säd, bröd, lätt fruktig sötma möter blommigt hö med snygg distinkt beska. Perfektbalans. Mycket gott

Bottle online from The Trembling Madness. Pours golden with a medium sized throthy white head. Aromas of sweet grains, hay, doughy white bread, pepper, honey and lemon. Taste has more of the same notes again. Malty but with a mild grassy hop that lingers on the finish. Nicely balanced. Full body, low carbonation and a very smooth oily and buttery mouthfeel. Very decent Beer. Enjoyed.

Endlich wieder Bock Zeit, dann mal ran an den hellen Hammel. Optisch einwandfrei, schöner Schaum. In der Nase Getreide, Honig. Im Trunk recht unscheinbar, Getreide, ziemlich alkoholisch, schade. Hinten noch stärker, recht unrund. Leider nicht mein Fall.
