Bottle, RBESG 2023. Cloudy golden. Easy going, honey, sweet, bit tart, watery, thin. Not much going on for a mead.

--Bottled at RBESG 2023. -- Hazy pale golden, minimal head. Aroma of honey, orange and tomato. Sweet with honey and orange. No bitterness.

PET bottle, courtesy of Hrabren who got it from the producer. Uncertain ABV. Much paler body than the traditional Gvirc, misty pale golden body traces of a head. Odd aroma, pleasant honeyish undertones, but also a light light sulphury touch and vague tartness. Sweetish, lean, dry, prickly taste. Oh look, a sparkling mead. Pleasant, lovely even honey presence, similar to the one in the lighter one, retaining drinkability, missing the off touches from the aroma.

1 l bottle from Bučijada Fair Market, Ivanić Grad. Shared with Marko. Hazy yellow to golden, small white head. The trouble is this pungent ripe fruit and vegetable aroma that didn't exist when the drink was poured as a taster at the fair. Probably a yeast problem but then again, it says on the label it's a permanent product. Medium body, soft carbonation. Slightly tart. Had a much nicer honey profile when I first had it.

1 l bottle from Bučijada Fair Market, Ivanić Grad. Shared with Marko. Unclear amber. Intense mead, with a floral, spicy and a weird pungent ripe fruit and vegetable. Medium body, moderate to heavy sweetness. Honey, cherry, plum. Slightly harsh. Light sweet finish.

Bottle, many thanks Koelschtrinker! Darkest amber color with no head. Aroma is honey, petrol, beeswax. Taste is petrol, honey, sweet, visous mouthfeel. Amazingly tasty for this ABV!

Süßer, trocken honigartiger Beginn, steigende Säure. Trockene Kräuternoten, spritzig, minimal bitter. Weich würzig, kurzer Nachhall. 10/9/9/9/8/9

Bottle - Dark and rich honey notes with a light cola note. Dark reddish brown. Dark honey, light spice and a long sweet finish. Very odd, but not bad.

Bottle sample (thanks to Marko, then to luttonm, then to fiulijn), pours a deep dark reddish amber. Aroma is very bizarre, with phenolic notes, feet, and carrots. Flavour is more like a mead at least, with medium sweetness, some treacle, a dental clinic quality and shredded carrots. How utterly bizarre. Not deep and just strange as hell. Not bad, but not great.
