Bottle at Reading Beer Festival 2015. Clear gold no head. Nutty nougat mead honey aroma. Wow that’s lovely. The finish is like vegetables but in a good way. Like carrots but not quite carrots. That is awesome sweetness up front character dry character underneath. Wow. Lovely. Still it’s got carrots. Simon would have loved it. God bless him.

(Bottle, 0.75 l - no VS000860, from Alko, 20150430) The drink poured deep golden andd clear. It looked quite oily. Aroma had honey, citricness and mildly cowhouse. Palate was medium bodied and dry with very low carbonation. Flavours were sweetness, citricness, honey, something farmhouse-like and mild spiciness. Aftertaste had citricness and honey. A nice drink is small quantities but will turn mildly off-putting after one glass.

750ml bottle from Alko. Pours golden color, deep, no head. Lots of honey in aroma, sweet, wood like notes. Has some sweet white wine character to it, mixed with sweet honey. Round, smooth, easy sipper. Pleasant. One of my first mead ratings, so not much reference. Will try more meads for sure.

Starker Honig Antrunk, der durch die erkennbaren Gewürze eher noch verstärkt wird. Rund süffig, langer Nachgeschmack, in dem der Honig erheblich länger als die Gewürze hält. Gut! 9/12/12/12/9/12

Keg @ White Lion, Heptonstall. Copper coloured cider. Full-bodied although it’s strength is not overpowering. Has a crispness about it but a little thin in taste despite a pretty good apple nose.
