23.03.2019 -- letitbeer in markthalle, cask, 3 fr/0.15l. pours a hazy deep amber with a small head. aroma of oak, funk, lacto, pepper. flavour is unexpectedly not sour, sweetish, bready, oaky and caramelly, a bit like a doppelbock. alcohol is somewhat hidden.

At Wortspiele 4. Pours hazy pale yellow. Aroma is intense tropical and citric fruit. Body is heavy and full, chewy, bitter, with mango and passion fruit without becoming a trying to be a NEIPA somehow. Palate is sweet and fruity. Good!

At Wortspiele 4. Pours darkest brown. Aroma is chocolate, coffee, roasted malts, light caramel. Body is medium, slightly burnt, roasted malts, coffee and chocolate. Sweet palate, but also slightly watery. Shouldn't happen at this ABV. Still well done!

Tap. Dark brown color with tan head. Aroma is vanilla, chocolate, earthy. Taste is earthy, vanilla, very grainy. Oily mouthfeel. The vanilla can't really hide that the base beer has some flaws.

Weicher, kaum süßer Malzantrunk mit deutlichen hintergründigen Vanillearomen. Leider etwas wässrig im Mittelteil, kaum bitter. Die Vanillenoten bleiben dabei weitestgehend konstant, vom Whisky ist nichts erkennbar. Süffig, weich herb-malziger Nachhall. 10/11/10/8/10/10

Tap at Unterländer Biertage 2016. Strongly roasted, coffee and a bit burnt, some chocolate and little liquorice. Very sweet body with a lively carbonation - almost too much, but I just works. Long lingering coffee finish. Nice, but I would prefer less carbonation.
