Cask@GBBF2010. Amber colour, small off-white head. Aroma is fruits, wooden, earthy and mildly toffeeish. Flavour is wooden, dry earthyness as well as some caramel malts. Not bad, just slightly boring...

Cask@GBBF2010. Ambery/coppery colour with small beige head. Aroma is fruits, wood, nectar and some mild spicy and syrupy notes. Flavour is quite much the same, but ends in a quite nice dry bittery finish. Rather sweetish Premium Bitter.

50cl Bottle brought from London, thanks Manon! Clear copper amber colour, light off white head. Aroma of light grassy and piney hops, light toasted malts, hint of cardboard. Flavour is light sweet, malty, caramel, dry hoppy bitter finish. Light bodied. Refreshing bitter.

Pours dark amber with a slowly fading white head.Nose shows a lot of sweet raisins, bready malt, toffee and subtle nutty notes, but unfortunately a metallic not is also just noticeable.More sweet bready malt as a flaovur, along with figs and nutty notes. Then it all goes downhill with a boring, metallic bitterness that makes up the short-lived, faint finish.Carbonation is high, the body seems watery!

Bottle. Clear amber, modest beige head. Low bead. Mild aroma has coughdroppish berries, plums and spices. Texture is pretty watery. Taste is also very mild - a little caramel sweetness and rather fruity hops leading to a lingering mild bitter finish. The pasteurisation doesn’t do it any favours. Very softly spoken but OK.

Aroma is an okay barley smell, but not much else. Looks like any other dark bitter, some head. Has a nice grape and chocolate flavour, but found it a little tinny. Seems to be an average kind for this style.
