Deep golden with the slightest orange hints, a bit of haziness but still mostly transparent. Medium sized white head, shows pretty good retention but close to no lacing. Averagely intense, well refined aroma, with grainy/hay notes followed by a delicate sweetness (touch of honey for certain, maybe chamomile) and balanced by fresh enough grassy notes. May sound like nothing special by description, and it's indeed a quite simple aroma profile, but it feels very well integrated and both delicately sweet and fresh. Taste notes as per aroma, with a pleasantly fragrant grainy/crackery feel. Perhaps just slightly less bright than the aroma suggested, but still excellent in terms of balance, where sweetness and bitterness are both quite vivid per style and in excellent balance in taste and aftertaste. As for the aroma, the beer feels at the same time soft and quite refreshing: i'd say it falls somewhere between an export helles and a keller. Light to medium body, slightly below average, delicate carbonation; excellent drinkability, decently vivid and at the same time pleasantly soft. Very, very nice.

"Reine Männersache" aus dem Ebensfelder Brauhaus, Flasche von Meibier.de, 12.7.2026. - Tief goldbraun, klar. - In der Nase sattes gerstiges und warm karamelliges Malz und solide wenngleich aromatisch blasse orangenfruchtig-herbale fränkische Hopfung. - Antrunk füllig und straff gerstig-karamelmalzig mit deutlicher aber noch nicht übertriebener Restsüße und nicht allzu hochwertiger aber doch irgendwie stimmiger herbaler und orangenbitterer Hopfung. Milder rezent, vollmundig. Im Abgang leicht rauhe Bittere. - Mein 11. Ebensfelder Bier (das mich an die Spitze der Ebensfelder-Brauhaus-Bewerter katapultiert) ist wie schon die anderen ein wenig ungefüge aber insgesamt gut trinkbar. "Eine Blondine zum Vernaschen" steht ganz klein auf dem Etikett - hoffentlich liest das keine Gleichstellungsbeauftragte ...

(Draft at Zum Franziskaner, Stockholm, 6 Aug 2025) Golden amber colour, slightly hazy, with frothy off-white head. Malty nose with notes of bread, grain, herbs and orange peel. Malty taste with bread, grain, apricots, orange peel and a mild herbal bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a slight sweetness. Refreshing and well balanced. Nice one.

Klare goldene Farbe; cremige, relativ stabile Schaumkrone. In der Nase sehr malzbetont, reife Äpfel, dezent hopfig. Im Geschmack rund, leicht süßlich, Honig, helles Malz, wenig Kohlensäure, schlanker Körper, zurückhaltene aber spürbare Bittere. Insgesamt sehr gefälliges und solides Bier.

Klare goldgelbe Farbe; gemischtporige, relativ stabile Schaumkrone. In der Nase frisch, malzig, leicht strohig, floraler und grasiger Hopfen. Im Mund schlank mit deutlicher Hopfenbittere, grasig, süßliche Malzigkeit. Das passt alles sehr gut zusammen und ergibt ein süffiges, aber auch sortentypisches Pilsner.

Klare goldgelbe Farbe; gemischtporige, stabile Schaumkrone. In der Nase sehr getreidig, würzig und malzig, Vanille, dazu ein blumiges Hopfenaroma. Im Geschmack malzig, ebenfalls mit feiner Würze, mittlerer Körper, dezente honigartige Süße. Stimmig und sehr süffig.

Keg at Zum Franziskaner, Stockholm. Standard aroma. Deep gold with lasting foam. Lovely cream feel. Smooth with light sweetness. Almost perfect for the style. This place makes all lagers pretty amazing to be fair!

"Ebensfelder Brauhaus Leichtes Helles", Flasche per Post vom Landbierparadies24, verkostet 27.7.2025. - Satt goldgelb, leicht trüb. - In der Nase dünnes, brotiges helles Malz von blasser Süße, ein Hauch von Vanille, sehr blasse orangenfruchtige Hopfung, Hefe. - Antrunk dünn hellmalzig mit blasser Restsüße, Anklängen an Bierwürze und gerade noch ausreichender, blaß zitrusfruchtiger Hopfung. Milder rezent. Im Abgang schwache Hopfenherbe und laffe, unfrische Züge. - Von Körper wie Geschmack her eindeutig ein Leichtbier, als solches durchaus trinkbar trotz deutlicher Laffheit.
