Description
Bullfrog Brewery is a proudly independent and multiple award-winning craft microbrewery, brewpub, and eatery nestled comfortably in the vibrant heart of downtown Williamsport, Pennsylvania. Born of fortuitous circumstance and ambitious aspiration, we opened in August of 1996 with a committed 'focal on local' philosophy and a simple yet lofty goal ... to be the place that people need to spend time, to brew beers that people need to have in their life, to offer food that people need to eat, to offer live music that people need to hear, and to be the place that our beloved staff need to work. Bullfrog beers are renowned far and wide, especially our artfully-crafted, barrel-aged wild ales such as Le Roar Grrrz and Rood Bruin. Here at "The Frog," we celebrate life by creating outstanding and memorable beers, food, friendships, and moments.

Yellowish head, pink-ochre-copper beer, unclear. Sour lactic nose, hint at phenols, strawberry. Sour strawberries, lots of lactic, tad of acetic acid. Finish has some strawberry ice cream hint, gooseberry. Feels better carbonated than it looks, acidthinning, slick. Too unidimensional American sour.

I 2016 bottle /I Dissipating white rim over clear golden beer. Leather, grapes, horseblanket aromas, bit lactic. Sour, wheat, but also with an impression of oxydized grains, almost pharmaceutical stain. I don't get the wine. Light to medium bodied, no doubt thanks to the acidthinning, wheatslick. Not exactly a succes, IMHO.

Under medium sweet, sour and bitter. Medium bodied with soft sparkly carbonation. Pretty nice! Still Some of the best US spontaneous fermented beers.

Bottle at home. Pours pale pinkish orange with a quick fizz. Malty with fresh strawberries, some hay, wet oak and biscuits. Very prominent strawberry. Works surprisingly well.
