5 oz. pour as part of flight at brewery.Lightly hazy pale gold w/ring of head,nice lacing. Aroma is as taste. Taste is strong pine, base malt. Smooth texture, average carbonation, finish as taste.

5 oz. pour as part of a flight at the brewery. Opaque black w/ring of head, light lacing. Aroma is sweet roasted malt, lactose, toffee. Taste is strong sweet roasted malt, vanilla, milk chocolate. Smooth, frothy texture, average carbonation and finish as taste.

Sample at the brewpub. Clear dark amber color with a medium thin off-white head that recedes steadily to a dense film. Small patches of lace. Malt, fruit and hops in the nose. Medium to full body with flavors of caramel malt, fruit and mild earthy hop. The finish is sweet with a grainy malt aftertaste. Decent overall.

Sample at the brewpub. Clear orange-amber color with a medium bone white head that diminishes steadily to an outer ring. Sticky strings of lace. Herbal hops, citrus and malt aroma. Medium body with flavors of resiny hops, grapefruit and roast malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a citrusy hop aftertaste. Above average overall.

Sample at the brewpub. Black pour with some brown around the edges and a medium thin khaki head that recedes quickly to a film. Sparse patches of lace. Coffee, chocolate and vanilla in the nose. Light-bodied with flavors of roasted coffee, chocolate malt and vanilla. The finish is sweet with a mocha aftertaste. Above average overall.
