Walked across the border last summer after a day trip to France and found the interesting little micropub of Boulevard under a block of flats in the quiet vibrant Basque town of Irun. The beer I ordered before the train home was deeper red with a light carbonation and a lower sourness sour. This allowed some mild cherry notes through for flavour, which were better stated here than in aroma.

330 ml can. Cloudy light red with a quickly disappearing head. Raspberry, lime juice, lemon juice, lactic acid, strawberries, lingonberry, hints of vanilla and cake. Dry sourness. Medium bodied, oily texture, lively carbonated, dry sour fruity finish. Nice, refreshing and very fruity!
