Bottle 50cl. Poured into a tumbler. Clear deep amber, small frothy beige head, mostly diminishing, light lacing; aroma toasted malts, caramel, bread, woody notes; taste is medium sweet and bitter, malty, toffee, average duration, dry and toasted malts finish; medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation; perhaps bit thin but on the whole a pleasant bitter.

(bottle, courtesy of pivnizub) Dark brown to black coloured hue with a brown mid-sized foamy head. Roasted malty aroma with notes of coffee, dark chocolate, leather, as well as a tinge of grassy hops. Roasty bitter flavour, light bodied with a calm carbonation. Dry roast-malt character with loads of coffee and dark chocolate; dry and bitter finish joined by a moderate level of sourness. Not particularly rounded but still likeable. 03.II.16

Bottle(picked up @Manufactum Waltrop): Literally black, mid-sized creamy tanned head, that slowly collapses; dry toasty-roasty nose, traces of bitter chocolate and - maybe - hints of caramel; dry and solid bitter flavour, a subdued sweetness is barely detectable, indeed; not too light bodied; lingering and astonishingly soft bitter roasty finish, some malty spots work as a counterweight. Nice brew…

Bottled (from AbM, old backlog). Deep brown/black colour with a mediumsized brown head. Aroma is coffee, roasted malts, chocolate as well as some cereals and mild grassy notes. Flavour is coffee, liquorice, ashes, roasted malts along with some ripe fruit and mild metallic notes as well.

Bottled (from AbM, old backlog). Hazy deep ambery brown colour with not that much head. Aroma is spices, some wood, fruity and earthy notes. Flavour is spices, caramel, some mild wood and herbal notes.
