16oz can from Hops & Bottles. Dark, clear golden pour, one finger foamy white head dissipates leaving lacing and a thin layer of foam. Malty aroma, hoppy, pine, earthy. Taste is sweet, malty, hoppy bite, piney. Very classic IPA vibe.

750mL bottle, pours black with a medium brown head. Aroma has a soft toasted malt character that is muted by the sweet dessert red wine — interesting combo. Flavour is dry, roasty and vinous, with lots of dry tannic red wine barrels, medium roast, and oak. Dry, oaky, somewhat tannic. Very good.

On tap at Bale Breaker & Yonder, pours a deep dark mahogany / dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out toasted malt, a touch of roast, and gentle dark fruits — doesn't seem remotely imperial. Flavour is full of dark fruits, medium roast, and toasted nuts. Fruity, roasted, and woody. Ignoring the lack imperial character, this is a fine beer. Good.

On tap at Bale Breaker & Yonder, pours a hazy dull yellow with a small white head. Aroma reveals toasted grains, earthiness, and subtle harsh hops. Flavour is gritty, with earthiness, harsh hops, and graininess. Not clean or expressing a pleasant hop character. Not great.

On tap at Bale Breaker & Yonder, pours a slightly hazy blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out toasted grains, subdued earthy hops, and a hint of chalk. Flavour is rather chalky and grainy, with lots of toasted grains, and some chalk burn. Plenty of rough grains and earthiness. Meh.
