On tap at Bale Breaker, pours a deep dark reddish brown with a small white head. Aroma brings out medium roasted malt and some resinous hops. Flavour is less roasty than most black IPAs, with medium roasted malt, resinous hops, and a touch of earthiness. Roasty, resinous finish, with good balance. Very good.

Draft pour to a tulip at Elliott Bay Pizza. Glad to see them bring this one back for year 2, as I missed it last year. We'll, missed rating it anyway. As clean and crystal clear gold as it gets. Could double as a cider if it weren't for the rocky foam head. Grassy, onion hop nose, moderately dank. Flavor has lots more of these inviting grassy hops with a good dose of bitter linger. Crisp forward sip. Oily resinous hop quality. Coating hop heavy palate. Modest end for this IPA in strength, but drinks big. Solid brew that really makes me miss drinking in their hop field porch beer garden. Awesome.

750 mL waxed bottle poured, picked up at Bale Breaker, Ballard. Celebration beer. Congrats Joe! Happy day for all of us! Dark and dense pour. Tons of tan foam head. Very nice wine barrel impact to this thick bodied, creamy stout. Oak, cocoa, dark fruit nose. Flavor has a dark cherry amd wine note doing a bad job at hiding under the stout base. It's a good flavor profile. Turns dry with tons of barrel notes. Smooth flavor on the linger, but has an aggressive side up front that I crave. Layered stout. Excellent brew.
