13 percent Cherrywood smoked malt. But I can actually smell it. Very dry and clean beer otherwise. Less smoke on flavor. Dry malt flavor with light malt bitterness. Low hoppiness. Clear dark brown, very sticky lacing.

Draft pour pint at Some Random Bar. First visit, as party of my on foot Seattle crawl. Stop #7. Dark brown pour with a cream tan head. Sweet malt aroma. Flavor is actually exactly what I expected from this beer. Sweet, but not overpowering. Soft vegetal note, but not overpowering. This is a fun, unique beer to try, but nothing comes of as great to me. Fun, just alright beer.

On tap at Perihelion, pours black with a small beige head. Aroma brings out root vegetables and toasted malt. Flavour is super dry, with toasted malt and palate scorching dryness I assume is due to the potatoes. Not a fan of this gimmick. Not offensive but not my thing.

Tastes like a malty amber. Don’t get spice or rye. Low hop. Pleasant but dull.

Schooner at brewery. Black body with ghost white head. Beer is light bodied, not strong flavors. Fruity yeast with a moderately roast malt. Hop is low and bitterness is low. Nothing fancy but interesting.

Numerous schooners of batch 2. Had the 1st draft as well. This beer is a step up for the brewery compared to the other Belgian yeast brews. Its not super estry and sweet. Very restrained. A little restrained fruit yeastiness but lots of mineral, strong carbonation making it pretty refreshing. Could be brighter and still.less sweet but a big jump in the right direction. A slightly mint fruit yeast aftertaste.

Schooner at brewery. Apparently there is barely any spices in this 3 barrel batch, like 2 cinnamon sticks and a little clove. Though I can still taste it. Fortunately, its not nauseatingly pumpkin spice. That is the best part, not an emphasis on pumpkin. Its a pretty light stout, more like porter otherwise. Low acidity, lot bitterness from the malts. I actually want more of the beer without the spices. I won’t drink this again but I’m not upset at it.

Schooner at brewery. Flying Lion has a tendency to overdue the dark malts on their stouts the first time around. And this one is no different but not as bad as other stouts. Bitter malts at the of the flavor. A little syrupy black maltiness all around. Also taste some bitter hops as well, which doesn’t work. Its not bad but I am waiting for the second batch of this beer.

Schooner at brewery. Clear amber brown. Sticky lacing. Its a pretty small "scotch" and not that recognizable as one. Its basically too clean, a little bit of sweet toffee maltiness to hint at want the beer was going for but definitely not a Scottish/bitter style. Seems like a clean American yeast, fortunately low hopped but still too American. I actually like the beer as an amber.

Schooner at brewery. Dark golden color, sticky lacing, a little hazy. Aroma is moderate green hops with a faint fruit hop and moderate bitterness. Flavor is dominated by bitterness and no particular hoppy flavor. Tastes like bitter beer rather than hoppy and bitter beer.
