Tap. Pours deep ruby mahogany, medium creamy tan head, good lacing. Aroma is roasty, bready, citrus, spruce. Flavor follows, sweet roasty, pine, citrus. Medium body. Enjoyable.

Tap at Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours lite amber with a creamy white head. Aroma is very pine. Med body or better. Flavor is surprisingly malty with pine, and maybe citrus, hop. Mild hop burn. And it produces an illusion of mixed fresh, light fruits in the finish. Excellent.

Tap. Ours hazy amber, medium creamy beige head. Good lading. Aroma is light pine, citrus, dank pot, spruce, caramel. Flavor is medium sweet, medium plus bitter, dank, pine, bread, caramel. Medium sticky body, lots of alcohol heat. Not harsh despite bracing bitterness. Over the top.

Tap at Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours light amber with a white head. Aroma is light citrus? Med body. Flavor is a little earthy, lightly citrus, mild roast malt. Hit me more like an APA than an IPA. Tastes good, finishing pleasingly hoppy and bitter.

On tap at City Beer SF. Golden/orange with a small white head. Fresh and hoppy with pineapple, grapefruit and some hay. A kind of liked the drinkability of this one.

On tap at Toronado SF. Almost black with a small creamy tan head. Quite relaxed with roasted malt, licorice and coffee. Also some dried dark fruit. The finish was rather sweet. An ok one.

Tap at Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours dark brown with a tan head. Aroma of herbal hop? Med body. Flavor seems neither nutty or chocolate to me. Mostly a lot of herb/earth hop over darkish malt. Maybe a hint of nut. The little malt does not prevent this finishing towards dry and bitter. "Brown IPA"

Draft. Amber beer with an off-white head. Grapefruit and light tropical fruit aroma. Tropical fruit and grapefruit flavor. Medium bodied. Good bitterness. Tropical fruit and grapefruit linger.
