Re-rate: Poured from 750mL bottle. Black with very minimal beige head. Lots of coconut, nice bourbon notes, enjoying this a lot more early in the night instead of after Weathered when I had already ticked 30+ beers. 750ml (thx, Tom B. for picking it up and saving it for so long during COVID) @ Alex's after I hope not a super spreader event Weathered. Appearance: very dark brown with a dark beige head. Aroma: roasted malts, some bourbon and chocolate. Taste: along the same lines with some berry notes coming from bourbon barrels, slight coconut, and chocolate. Overall: pretty good.

Power tasting at Ryan's, bottle
The colour is almost black, no head, there are some floating particles, probably the coconut oils. Aroma of cacao, vanilla. Moderately sweet, good body, but not too thick because of the alcohol, it's warm, dark chocolate, some vanilla, mild spices, more roast in the finish.
Very good (not as good as the price tag would dictate though).

750ml (got from the brewery in almost 2 years after ordering, hehe!) shared with a gang after being forced by Farees and Alex. Appearance: dark brown with a floating coconut shit on top. Aroma: toasted coconut, burnt sugar, not very exciting. Taste: about the same lines, surprisingly it seems a bit on the thin side, a lot of toasted coconut. Overall: ok, not the best one from them.

On tap at Trailbend taproom. Pours a hazy yellow with a slight orange hue and a white head that dissipates slowly to the edge and laces. Aroma has slightly dank citrus and light mango with a bit of earthy grass backing. Flavor has slightly dank tropical fruits with a bit of earthy citrus and some light grains backing.

On tap at Structures, pours black with a small, muddy dark brown head. Aroma is dominated by the peppermint—all other elements take a backseat unfortunately. There's some barrel, some dark fruits and caramel, but the “hint of peppermint”, as per the description, is more like a dominating element. Flavour has a lot of peppermint and dark fruits upfront. The palate is what ruins this though, with a very felt-like, muddy, gritty, chalky palate that is just not pleasant. This is very disappointing and not even all that drinkable. Really a shame -- glad I wasn't stuck with a big expensive bottle of this.

On tap at Structures, pours a dirty dark brown / near-black with a small beige head. Aroma is hot, with lots of bourbon barrels, caramel, and dark dried fruits. Flavour is quite decadent, with intense dark dried fruits, lots of bourbon barrels, and caramel. It could be a bit better dialled in — there's a slightly jumbled element to it, but the mix of flavours and the barrel aging is quite impressive. Excellent.
