Description
You can come get to know our beers and the people behind them at either of our two locations.

Our original brewery on Lincoln Avenue is home to our Brewery Shop, where you can sample or purchase to-go, and a Tap Room, where you can stay, get a bite to eat and get to know who we are and what we do. You can now also visit our new brewery, on Balmoral Avenue, where we have a beer garden in nice weather and a completely separate food program.

Both locations offer perennials Daisy Cutter, Bodem, Pony Pilsner and Tuna plus plenty of small batch beers released weekly.

Location: Draft at Hackney's Printers Row, 6/3/14

Aroma: Grapefruit, pine, some boozy notes, and bready malts on the nose
Appearance: Clear orange color, with a white head, and some spotty lace
Flavor: Has a fairly hoppy flavor, with some grapefruit and bread
Palate: This one has a medium body, aclean mouth feel, and some mild heat to it
Overall Impression: I found this one pretty darn enjoyable overall. I liked the way the big hop flavor worked. Maybe it isn't a perfect beer, and there's flaws here and there (mostly in the flavor), but it works pretty nicely, and overall, I liked it.

Draft at the Half Acre Tap Room. Hazy light orange color. Smell has prickly hops to it, again, the strong citrus and piny notes of a West Coast hopped beer. Toasty malts are closer to the fore, but it still carries a hop punch of grapefruit juice and resin.

Bottle thanks to csteele2144. Pours hazy orange with a medium creamy off-white head that dissipates slowly with nice lacing. Aroma is passion fruit, grapefruit, pine, mango. Flavor is light sweet, light bitter, juicy and tropical with just a bit o’pine. Medium body, not harsh at all. Some lingering bitterness. Nice beer.

16 oz can from a trade with jingledell. Pours hazy burnt orange color with off white head. Aromas of grapefruit rind, pine and some pale malts. Bitter grapefruit rind flavor with some pine. Just a hint of maltiness with a slightly dry finish. Medium body with average carbonation. Very nice. Thanks Chris.

Taster at the tap room. Jeez, about all I wrote down on this was "heavy catbox smell." I recall then explaining to my companions that I mean that as a good thing, but usually associate it with Amarillos. Clearly some of the newer hop varieties here can dig in that impression just as well, too. Should probably have had a full glass, but this was a pub/brewpub crawl, and I was pacing myself admirably.

Draft sample at Half Acre. Hazy yellow in its tiny glass, with a thin ring of foam. Mellow smell of orange blossoms. More bitter in the mouth, thanks to the sharpness of those whippersnapper southern hemisphere hops. Finishes with growing sensation of pineapple and orange.

Pours hazy gold into a shaker. White head with good retention recedes leaving spot lacing. Citrus and pine aromas. Soft with full pine and resin upfront turning to grapefruit in the lasting finish.
