The flavour is moderate liqourice bitter, with a roasty, mineral, earthy, dry coffee, liqourice bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with average to soft carbonation. A rather simple, one-dimensional beer. A little light for a stout. A touch of sweetness would not have been inappropriate either. Not a bad beer but there’s certainly room for improvement.
