Friday 3rd Aug 2018; Berlin Beer Mile Festival. Draft at one of the many stalls. Amber body, slight haze; decent white crown that lasted. Malty and fruity aroma, the taste had plenty of 'dank hops' yet it was also semi-sweet from the malts and the mixed fruit bowl of flavours, fairly dry and bitter finish, nice.

At Internationales Berliner Bierfestival 2018. Black with a tan head. Aroma of dark malt, coffee and some chocolate. The same in the taste, also some licorice. The body was almost full and the finish quite long.

26-11-16 // sample at CraftBeerMesse Mainz. Almost black beer. So intense woody smokey and peaty notes in the nose. Strong malty, smokey, woody, peaty notes on the tongue. Some alholic notes. A bit too much of everything for me, but an interesting composition.

0.33 l bottle from ’Vormann Brauerei’ at 7.6% abv (40 IBU), best before November 2016 (about a year old). Pitch black with a thin, frothy, almost stable, beige head. Faint, sweetish-malty, slightly roasty aroma of chocolate, coffee, some licorice and slightest hints of dark ripe fruits. Sweetish-malty, slightly roasty taste of dark chocolate, coffee, licorice and a touch of dark ripe fruits, followed by a medium long, moderately roasty-bitter finish. Medium body, slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Could be a bit more expressive, but it’s very round and well-balanced. Very nice!
